We represent our client, a successful steelwork fabricator, based in the West Midlands, producing a wide variety of steelwork for the agricultural, commercial, industrial and leisure markets.
Due to continued expansion and heavy workload, they now require an experienced - Quantity Surveyor.
Applicants MUST have a background with solid experience of working within the structural steelwork industry and be familiar with structural and architectural steelwork as well as the relevant associated materials and trades in this field of work.
Duties will be those as conventionally performed by an experienced QS but will include;
Attending Pre-Start meetings and then ensuring all paperwork is in place.
Assessing and providing costs against all variations.
Ensuring instructions were rec'd to cover the work.
Attend meetings to agree variations.
Prepare and submit monthly applications.
Prepare, submit and attend meetings to agree final accounts.
Chase outstanding payments at QS level.
Dealing with sub-contract orders and warranties etc.
The company has made significant investment during its continued growth and the successful QS will have continued access to certain "high level" financial data to help enable them to help streamline the working practices of the business and to increase the over profitability of the business.
Working closely with the MD, you will help to;
Assess each contracts profitability.
Assess each department profitability.
Improve company profitability.

The company offers a salary of between £40k to £45k, dependent upon experience, as well as a company vehicle / car allowance.
