Contracts Manager

We act on behalf of our client; based in Hampshire, a family run business that has been trading for over 40 years,they produce both structural and architectural steelwork.

The company design, fabricate and supply a wide range of steelwork products, from portal frame structures, beam and stick structures to staircases, handrailing, balconies etc. and all to the highest standards of fabrication.

They now seek an experienced Contracts Manager to join their busy team.

They require a Contracts Manager with experience of working within a steelwork fabricator or within an engineering company or contractor with a good knowledge of structural steelwork.

Duties will be those typically performed by a Contracts Manager within a steelwork fabricator, to include as illustration:

Project Review QITP
Create Purchase orders & manage budgets
Update/ Reissue Program
Weekly design/Project meeting (internal)
Issue hours allowed and project spec to workshop
Renew PO for day rate labour
Set up project file and new job number on server
Internal Handover meeting
Post Project review meeting
Purchase large packages: Steel, Purlins, Decking, Cladding etc.
Purchase smaller project items: Bolts & Fixings, specials such as thermal packs, and arranging delivery to site
Subcontract fabrication management
Site visit to oversee steel erection
Report Vo's to QS
