Based in West Yorkshire, our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of racking,storage systems, shelving, pallet racking,framing as well as innovative framing solutions complete with cladding for large and long stock items such as steel or timber. These products are sold to a wide variety of retail outlets and used in warehouses, DIY centres,supermarkets and general shops/stores and retail outlets.

They now see a Project Manager with experience with the above products or similar, but must have experience in the retail market.

Reporting to the Operations Director

Dealing with varying sized projects from order stage through to completion, key roles and responsibilities will include but not be exclusive to:

Working with the Account / Sales Manager at pre-order stage, producing layout drawings on AutoCAD and assisting with the pricing of projects.

Manage a handover meeting with the sales representative and other applicable departments.

Attend “pre-start” meetings with client / builder / main contractor to review building requirements and interfaces with other trades.

Produce a programme where not already provided by the Client / PC, which will be tracked and monitored throughout the duration of the contract.

Generate “site specific” RAM’s packs in line with related / current legislation.

Phase material to site against the agreed programme, and ensure that this is reflected on SAP.

Review labour requirements against required skill set and manning levels.

Attend site meetings where required and also visit site to monitor both programme progress and conformity to the RAM’s methodology / H&S legislation.

Provide progress reports, providing information for invoicing and agreed variations and budget comparisons.

Initiate and manage any requested handover of completed racking via a formal procedure with the client / clients agent.

Generate and issue O&M manuals in line with the 2015 CDM regulations.

Key Requirements, Skills and Experience

Flexible attitude with work and travel to sites and some overnight stays will be required.

Good time management and ability to work on multiple projects at a time, so you will need to be an efficient and good communicator managing multiple disciplines on several projects.

Proven record of working within a similar role.

Confident user of Microsoft Office and experience on AutoCad or similar would be beneficial.

Fully conversant with CDM regulations 2015

IOSH, UKATA, CSCS preferred.

Full driving licence essential.
